Ferozepur, June 30, 2020: The Chandigarh Punjab Union of Journalists, under the tutelage of its President, Anirudh Gupta, on Tuesday honoured SSP Bhupinder Singh for providing excellent services by making exemplary efforts of his team in Khakhi, who are among the frontline Warrior, in the city of martyrs during curfew-lockdown in the wake of Covid-19.
SSP Bhupinder said that every policeman has played an important role in this fight and social workers have also spared no effort in encouraging the police. During the interaction, SSP also said, the journalists too have played a positive role during this period.
Giving a message to the people, he said, we are still not out of the corona danger and must continue to follow the instructions of the district administration and health department from time to time especially wearing masks, maintain social distancing, stay at home and move only in the event of any emergency.
Anirudh Gupta President said that there is no doubt that everyone in Punjab Police from junior personnel to senior officers has played an important role as corona warriors by standing on the front line during this epidemic. He said that Punjab Police has made the best contribution in every difficult hour whether it is the black era of terrorism or breaking the criminal incidents and drug supply chain.
Chairman Madan Lal Tiwari said, the role by the Punjab Police by working 24x7 by risking their lives, is commendable which can never be forgotten.
Harish Monga, General Secretary said, while the media has made its contribution through newspapers and electronic and online media, the police have been the main contributor in this time.
