Leader of the Haryana Congress Legislature Party
Chandigarh, July 1, 2016:
Leader of the Haryana Congress Legislature Party Kiran Choudhry has asked the Haryana government, to start paying interim relief of at least Rs 2,000 per month to the state government employees with effect from July 1, 2016, pending implementation of recommendation of the Seventh Pay Commission report.
In a statement issued on Friday, former excise and taxation minister said the BJP Government should ask for detailed report of the pay commission, announce acceptance after improving upon the pay scales and allowances in the context of Haryana, and do justice to the employees reeling under ever-rising inflation.
"The BJP Government should immediately start paying to the employees an interim relief of not less than Rs 2,000 per month which can be adjusted while implementing the revised and improved recommendations of the pay commission report", she demanded.
Choudhry also asked the Central Government to address the concerns of the armed forces over the anomalies they had highlighted. Even the Defence Minister, Manohar Parrikar, has admitted that "some" of the recommedations he had strongly worked for behalf of the armed forces had "not" been accepted.
Their demand for uniform account pay matrix has not been taken into account and that the allowances have not been brought on par with the civilian employees, she pointed out.
