“Gadhar Lehar Ka Sfa - Saka Pheru Shehar†titled book by Rakesh Kumar released
Chandigarh, May 15, 2015: The Punjab Congress President Partap Singh Bajwa today called upon the Chief Minister Mr Parkash Singh Badal to resign as his writ had stopped running in the administration as the state had turned into a jungle raj going by yet another alarming case of molestation of two dalit girls by the conductor of a bus they were travelling in. This was the high time at the age of 92 that he should retire to the old age home that be had built in his native village. “Here is the state where women are the most unsafe as the predators are everywhere who enjoy the patronage of the people in power. Coming close on the heels of molestation and death of young Arshdeep who was pushed down by the staff of a speeding Orbit transport bus, here is yet another shocking case of two young dalit sisters having been harassed by the conductor of a transport company owned by the Akali Dal leader Mr Hardeep Singh Dhillonâ€, he added. He pointed out it was the same company for the gherao of whose bus scores of students including a 13 year old were arrested, severely beaten up in custody by the company staff and then framed in attempt to murder case. He said Section 307 was revoked as the Congress yesterday staged demonstration outside the Faridkot jail. He said yet the biggest shock was that the Senior Superintendent of Police Mr Kuldip Singh Chahal had refused to register the FIR on the complaint of the father of the girls without probe which was a violation of the Supreme Court direction. The two sisters were on their way back home after getting their Aadhar card made in Muktsar, the home district of Mr Badal where the bureaucrats are always handpicked by his family. The conductor started making lewd comments and when the girls protested, they were asked to get down. He said in this case, a handicapped farmer Mr Manpreet Singh, was an eye witness who had come forward. Mr Bajwa said it was clear that goonda elements had been recruited by the men in the ruling party whose had turned the state into mafia raj. These people had no fear of the law. The police were busy in protecting the business interests of the Akali leaders, be it sand mafia or transport mafia. He warned that such a situation would not be allowed to continue and the Congress would organise strong protests to force the ouster of this government.
