Surjit SIngh Rakhra during schoo programme
Chandigarh, June 13, 2015: BJP in Punjab seems very upset with its alliance partner SAD and Badal Government for shifting of Prof. Davinder Pal Singh Bhullar from Delhi Tihar Jail to Punjab. It has been learnt that the state party unit has planned to take up this issue aggressively with Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal. BJP Core Committee meeting held in Chandigarh today the issue of Davinder Pal Singh Bhullar remains dominated. BJP leaders have objected that such active actions of the Punjab Government are not right lines. BJP leaders also expresses their resentment that Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal has not discussed this issue with BJP. According to BJP leaders the party feels that the issue of Davinder Pal Singh Bhullar is linked to the national security and unity of the country, therefore the government should take precautionary measures in such sensitive issues. While talking to Babushahi.com BJP President Kamal Sharma confirmed this development and said that the state party leadership will take up the issue at appropriate forum. It Sh. Kamal Sharma met Punjab Government Prof. Kaptan Singh Solanki after the core committee meeting. He may have discussed the issue with Governor keeping in mind the sensitivity of the issue. The BJP state party unit had also opposed the levying of entry-tax on sugar in Punjab .BJP was not taken into confidence on this issue also. There seems tug of war between both alliance partners before the scheduled visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Anandpur Sahib on June 19. The meeting also discussed the issue of party’s organization structure in Punjab. They have expressed satisfaction over the enrolment drive of cadres in Punjab. The meeting also discussed arrangements of Yoga Camps to be organized on coming June 21.
