Myanmar, April 11, 2017: The Sikh community of Yangon (Rangoon) is having ‘darshan’ of Ganga Sagar, the holy relic gifted by Guru Gobind Singh to the Nawab of Raikot, now part of Ludhiana district, Punjab.
The holy relic has been brought here by the Rai Azizullah Khan, custodian of the holy relic and a descendent of the Nawab of Raikot. Khan is here on the invitation of the Sikh community to be part of the Vaisakhi celebrations on April 12 and 13 at Gurdwara Sahib, Yangon.
In a message to babushahi.com, Khan has sent greetings to the global Sikh community on Vaisakhi.
