Hoshiarpur to get two new judicial court complexes

Hoshiarpur, December 16, 2017: Punjab and Haryana High Court Justice and Chairman Building Committee TPS Mann and Justice Rajan Gupta, Administrative Judge Session Division Hoshiarpur on Saturday laid the foundation stones of two new court complexes coming up at Bajwara-Bulanwari Road Hoshiarpur and village Bagowal in Mukerian.
Both complexes will be constructed at estimated cost of over Rs. 19 crore.
The Judges also planted saplings at the new court complexes to be constructed. The District and Sessions Judge SK Arora and SSP J. Elanchezhian were also present.
The District Bar Association president RP Dheer welcomed the guests.
Justice TPS Mann said that the court complex at Hoshiarpur would come up on the 14 acres 10 marla land which was purchased at a cost of Rs. 12,65,00000. This new court complex will have facilities such as chambers for lawyers, bar room, residences for the judges and all other basic necessities.
He also highlighted its benefits for the area residents.
The funds for the construction of the complex have already been transferred to the district administration and the complex would be ready in one year, he added.
In his address, Justice Rajan Gupta highlighted that the transportation problem would be taken car of after completion of the new completion because it is located at a distance of only 304 kilometres from the existing site.
The District and Sessions Judge SK Arora thanked the judges for gracing the occasion.
Those present included Hoshiarpur Mayor Shiv Sood, MLA Hoshiarpur Sunder Sham Arora, CJM Ravi Gulati, former minister Tikshan Sood, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Anupam Kler, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Harbir Singh, SDM Hoshiarpur Jitender Jorwal, Assistant Commissioner (General)Amarjit Singh, SE Public Works Department Arun Kumar, District Revenue Officer Aman Pal Singh, Tehsildar Hoshiarpur Arvind Prakash Verma and members of the legal fraternity.
