Machma Expo 2017 concludes with MoU between CICU and Gulzar Group of Institutes

Ludhiana, December 18, 2017: On the concluding day of the international exhibition of machinery and technology Machma Expo & IETSS-2017, an MoU was signed between Chamber of Industrial & Commercial Undertakings (CICU) and Gulzar Group of Institutes, Khanna.
The MoU was signed by Upkar Singh Ahuja, President, CICU and Gurkirat Singh, Executive Director, Gulzar Group of Institutes Khanna for furthering collaboration in skills development activities and to bridge the gap between academia and Industry for sustainable practices in education and training.
The 4-day exhibition organized by CICU received huge response apparently because it offered very lucrative opportunity to encash the presence of international purchasing officers from global business houses and leading Indian manufacturers.
The export from Punjab Region is all set to get tremendous boost due to excellent opportunity highlighted in this Show which promises to usher in an era of next higher level of growth and development of the MSME sector.
A number of industry leaders from fraternal bodies visited the expo, who were welcomed by Upkar Singh Ahuja, president, CICU. They included Vinod Thapar, President, Knitwear & Textile Club, Charanjiv Singh, General Secretary, Rajat Sood of NG Apparels and Nimesh Gupta of Oriental Knitwear Fab, Congress leader Bhupinder Sidhu, Daljit Singh Dico and Jim (Amit) Seth, Honorary Trade and Investment Adviser to, H.E. Ambassador of Timor-Leste to Australia.
During their visit, all the dignitaries appreciated the efforts made by the CICU and showed keen interest in hi-tech machinery for adoption of latest green manufacturing products displayed at stalls.
This initiative of CICU would provide value added services, cooperation and support in conducting carrier exhibition cum job fairs, sponsoring R&D projects and training of personnel in mutually decided skills for the growth and development of Punjab Industry, they commented.
