New Delhi, March 21, 2018: Supreme Court on Tuesday started hearing final arguments in the road rage case allegedly involving Punjab minister Navjot Singh Sidhu who had appealed against Punjab and Haryana High Court order convicting him.
In the thirty year old case, an elderly person Gurnam Singh had died in Patiala in 1988. Sidhu and his friend had been initially tried for murder. Both were acquitted by the trial court in 1999 but the order was reversed by the HC holding both friends guilty of culpable homicide not amounting to murder.
