Jalandhar, March 20, 2019: CT Institute of Hotel Management, Maqsudan campus marked the festival of colors Holo by organising Rangistan- a unique theme based event of festivity of its kind that blended colors of festival with fun making activities, ethnic foods amalgamation with patriotism and nationalism by its nomenclature.
The purpose and idea behind the event was to inculcate and accelerate the creativity amongst the students as per themes and make them aware about their culture, traditions, foods that are enjoyed in fun filled environment with theme based music, games and decor. Every student and staff member was in white attire and shades. At the event, students exchange colours in the form of flower petals with love and affection along with performances by students on special songs of Holi.
The event also showcased a skit to avoid throwing colours on animals. Rohit Sharma, Principal, CT Institute of Hotel Management & Catering Technology spoke about minimising the use of colour as it has an ill effect on health and appealed for eco friendly holi.
The event proved to be educative, sensitive and joyous also the event gives soothing effect on the stressful mind of students and learning.
Campus Director Dr. Jasdeep Kaur Dhami congratulated the department for organising this meaningful event and wished everyone a safe Holi.
