New Delhi, May 19, 2017: A 14 member judo team will participate in the IBSA JUDO Asian Oceanian Championships to be held at Tashkent, Uzbekistan. This championships is being organised by the Paralympic Committee of Uzbekistan under the auspices of International Blind Sports Association.
A camp was organised by Indian Blind and Para Judo Association at Indian Blind Sports Association, Lal Bahadur Shastri Marg, New Delhi from May 15 to 21 to upgrade the performance of the players.
The kit distribution to the team was done by Mr. Nitin Pramod, Deputy Commissioner, MCD, Karolbag, New Delhi and Mr. K.C. Pandey, Vice Chairperson, Indian Blind Sports Association, at Indian Blind Sports Association, Lal Bahadur Shastri Marg, New Delhi.
Mr. A. David, Mr. Mohnan and Mr. Munawar Anzar were also present on this occasion.
This was informed by Mr. Munawar Anzar, Founder Secretary, Indian Blind and Para Judo Association. Munawar is very confidant of getting medals in this championships also, as the teams have got in the past also. Some of the players participating in this championships have earlier participated in championships like Asian Para Games, Vietnam Open Judo Championships and Commonwealth Judo Championships.

Women: Janki Bai (M.P.), Priyanka Annasaheb Ghumre (MAH), Pappathi Chinnasawmy (T.N.), Seema Rani (coach ), Bhagwan Das (Escort), Munawar Anzar (Delegate Asia).
Men: Karmpal (HAR), Jaydeepkumar Hridaya Singh (MAH ), Kuldeep (U.P.), Manoharan Janakiraman (T.N), Ramesh Kumar (HAR), Akram Shah (coach), Deepak Kumar Gupta (referee).
