An instant hit even beyond the boundaries of Punjab

Chandigarh, July 20,2020: With a view to ensuring optimum utilisation of the technology to provide hassle free access to the study material , the Punjab Education Department has launched " Punjab Educare App". It seems unbelievable but amazingly true that though the Educare App is still in its infancy, but it has taken a big leap. In the first week, the Educare App has achieved 4.7 rating out of the total rating points 5. Giving details, Deepak Kumar , one of the team members, instrumental in developing the App, said that so far the Punjab Education Department's Educare App has gained as many as 2,55,940 users, 88,19,418 views, 2,85,98295 hits and 1501 reviews. The popularity of the Educare App could easily be gauged from the fact that its users are not only belonged to Punjab but as per the available data it has also been accessed by the users from Uttar Pardesh, Rajasthan , Haryana, Himachal Pardesh, Delhi, Uttraklhand, J&K also.
It is worthwhile to mention here that with a view to giving a fillip to " On Line Education", the Education Department launched an innovative initiative in form of " Punjab Educare App" , a store- house of all the learning material. The teachers and students can have hassle free access to the syllabus, text books in PDF form, video lectures, worksheets, assignments, quizzes etc. It would help both the teachers and students to recapitulate any topic whenever they want.
"It is user friendly, compact and easy to access and encourages perfect coordination among teachers and students", say Chander Shekhar, Jaswinder Singh, and Harjit Bawa, the members of the Educare App developing team, while divulging details about the features of the App. It includes " Teachers'Station' , " Students' Corner", " Word Of the Day', "Udaan". While accessing the Educare App, one can visit the desired section and select the class and subject of his / her choice to have an hassle free access to the required study material, they added.
" Our dedicated teachers have been doing commendable job in beating the best in exploring the innovations in use of latest IT applications to make teaching -learning process an easy and enjoyable experience during the pandemic" said the Education Secretary, Krishan Kumar.
" Though the Educare App has started gaining tremendous response just in the beginning , but there is always scope for the improvement. Hence , with a view to making it better , more comprehensive and easily accessible , a Virtual Meeting with the department officials, heads and teachers has been conducted ", said the Education Secretary while adding that very valuable suggestions had come forth and the team of teachers having technical expertise had started exploring the options to execute the suggestions.
