Under Mission Fateh, Health Deptt working on ‘break the chain’ campaign

Ferozepur, August 1, 2020: To fend off the Covid-19 spread, the Health Department under Mission Fateh is working on ‘break the chain’ campaign, under the tutelage of Dr.Jugal Kishore, Civil Surgeon. The government has so far been able to contain the spread because of early surveillance and people’s support.
He said, to break the chain of corona, we need to stop being careless and be vigilant and it was wise to follow the instructions issued by the health department. We also need to evolve personal hygiene as a healthy habit and wash our hands and face after coming into pubic contact which can help break the chain of virus infection. Only in case of an urgent need, one should out of home that too by taking precautions.
At the same time, Dr. Pooja and Dr.Richa Dhawan are taking care of pregnant women tested Corona positive so that they may not feel any problem. They said, there had been 14 Covid-19 positive cases and seven have since been discharged on recovery. Even after the discharge, they had been provided the Covid-19 ward number to contact them in the event of any emergency.
They said, out of the remaining seven, five are expected for delivery shortly and Isolated ward with 24x7 emergency Labour Room and free tests and food supplements arrangements have been made and specially trained staff to look after the new-born child.
Earlier, Dr.Gurmej Ram Goraya, medical specialists said, Dr.Pardeep Mohindra,SMO in charge of Civil Hospital are working tirelessly with their team members for treatment of Corona patients. He said, around 300 Corona positive patients have been admitted to the hospital and 100 patients are still under treatment and most of the patients have been discharged on recovery including minor infections.
On this occasion, Dr.Naveen Sethi, Skin Specialist-cum-Nodal officer, Dr.Pankaj, Dental Specialist, Dr.Satinder Chest Specialist was also present.
