Lok Sabha Elections 2024, SVEEP competitions and awareness rally held in Ferozepur
Ferozepur, April 25, 2024: A significant SVEEP (Systematic Voters' Education and Electoral Participation) voter awareness Rally event unfolded recently at village Panje Ke Uttar. This event, organized by the dedicated SVEEP team, aimed to enlighten and empower voters ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections 2024 in Punjab, scheduled for voting on June 1, under the tutelage of ARO-cum-SDM Guruharsahai Gagandeep Singh in collaboration with Principal Prem Singh of Govt Sr. Sec. Smart School and Nodal Incharge Dr. Gurmail Singh as per the visionary leadership of DEO-cum-DC Rajesh Dhiman.
Led by SVEEP Coordinator Parvinder Singh, Head Mistress, Rinkal Munjal, Charanjit Kaur, Karnveer Singh Sodhi and Sushil Kumar, the event witnessed a fervent display of civic engagement and awareness-building initiatives. The SVEEP team passionately engaged with the community, urging them to actively participate in the democratic process by exercising their voting rights.
The highlight of the event was a spirited march led by senior students from the Government Senior Secondary Smart School Panje Ke Uttar, traversing through the village to disseminate crucial election-related information. The students, with eloquence and conviction, addressed the villagers, emphasizing the significance of their votes and encouraging robust participation in the upcoming elections.
Residents of Panje Ke Uttar village and students alike enthusiastically joined the rally, reflecting a shared commitment to democratic values and civic responsibility. Following the march, a series of engaging competitions related to SVEEP and civic awareness were conducted. These included elocution contests, poetry recitals, rangoli and painting competitions, and drawing contests, showcasing the creative talents and civic consciousness of the participants.
The event witnessed the deserving triumph of numerous students across various competition categories, further reinforcing the spirit of democratic engagement and active citizenship. Notable personalities such as Lecturer Sandeep Kumar, Mrs Rajwinder Kaur, Mrs Poonam Kumari, Mrs Sharanjit Kaur, Sardar Gurjit Singh, Aman Kumar, and Ujjwal Kumar, alongside dedicated staff members, graced the occasion with their presence, adding to the vibrancy and success of the SVEEP initiative.
