Ferozepur, May 28, 2016: Himmat Singh Sher Gill, Incharge Legal Cell, Aam Aadmi Party today lodged a police complaint demanding action against who pasted posters in the district blaming Delhi Chief Minister and party Convener Arvind Kejriwal for the demolition of Bhai Mati Dass Chhabil near Gurudwara Sis Ganj in Delhi and equating it with India Army’s attack on Sri Akal Takht in Darbar Sahib during June, 1984,by moving on the path of Indira Gandhi.
Taking a serious notice of the posters, Shergill demanded from the Punjab Government to bring on surface who have misused the name of Akhand Kirtani Jatha Amritsar City in the posters.
Shergill alleged that there is no mention of name, address or contact number of the publisher which proves that it has been done in an illegal manner and with some political intentions, which will not be tolerated at any cost.
He also demanded from the Punjab Government and police administration to locate the elements fo attempt to malign the image of the party. He further insisted to proceed against them as per the law.
Shergill alleged that the ruling party, frustrated over the increasing popularity of AAP in the state, was behind the controversy when the Akhand Kirtani Jatha, in whose name the posters were pasted by unidentified persons, had already denied its hand in the incident.
