Development of Pooran Patti will be replicated in other villages too: Isha

Pooran Patti village of Fazilka District is emerging as a trend setter village for other Gram Pachayats of district. With the help of district administration and rural development department Gram Panchayat make its own development model. Every villager is participating in the development of village.
Now Deputy Commissioner Mrs Isha Kalia announced to replicate this development model in other villages of district. During her visit to village to review the progress of village she congratulated the village Sarpanch, Panchayat and all the villagers for all round development. She said that villagers achieved this with mutual brotherhood. She said that so for about 46 lakh rupees have been spent by the Panchayat for various development works in this village. She was also accompanied by additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Mr. Ranbir Singh Mudhal.
Gram Panchayt of Pooran Patti Village which is situated on Malout-Fazilka road, did the wall painting on the main streets of village with positive thoughts. The paintings also have been specially decorated in the village showing traditional heritage. Trees are planted along the road sides in village. Deputy Commissioner also expressed her happiness over the cleanliness of the village. She also appreciated the farmers of Pooran Patti for not burning the stubble during last paddy season. On this occasion, she met the village Sarpanch Lakhbir Singh, Panchayat members and villagers and said that they should continue development work in the same way so that Pooran Patti village can be known as a model village in the state.
On this occasion, the village sarpanch Lakhbir Singh Dhillon said that a sports stadium has been set up in the village to keep the youth away from drugs, which has so far coasted five lakhs. He said that an RO filter has been installed for drinking water at a cost of one and a half lakhs for the villagers. He further said that in the village, a bus stand is built with the cost of 1.5 lakhs, while a cremation ground at the cost of Rs.10 lakhs, Rajiv Gandhi Seva Kendra at a cost of 8 lakhs and a community hall with a cost of Rs. 5 lakhs has also been made. Balwinder Singh Memorial Library was built at a cost of Rs. 3.5 lakhs in the village, in which the residents of the village visit the daily to read newspapers, especially the children and the elderly. Under the Rural Mission, the entire Firni (outer Road) of the village has been strengthened with the cost of 4 lakhs.
He said that the farmers of the village are being educated from time to time with the help of agriculture department for adoption of agricultural and allied activities. In the village, a complaint box has been specially installed, which is opened once a week and the panchayat follow the suggestions and do its best to solve the complaints received in suggestion box.
