Fatehgarh Sahib, October 17, 2018: The students of physiotherapy department of Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University, Fatehgarh Sahib excelled academically as well as in cultural events
in the 1st International Conference of Physiotherapists organized by Synapse Physio and Chitkara School of Health Sciences at Chitkara University. The conference was attended by international delegates from United Kingdom and Europe and national delegates and students from AIMS, New Delhi, Manipal Hospital, Bangalore, Mullana University, Lovely Professional University, Noida International University, Jagannath University, Apeejay College, Jalandhar and ITS College Ghaziabad. Dr Pankajpreet Singh, head of SGGSWU was the guest of honour.
Dr Supreet Bindra, Assistant Professor of the University delivered talk on “Balancing the Muscle Imbalance” and was awarded. The students of Bachelor in Physiotherapy Sukhdeep Kaur form BPT secured 1st position for poster presentation in senior category. Guramanpreet Kaur and Navdeep Kaur secured 1st position for poster presentation in junior category. Deepak Dawer from BPT secured 2nd position for poster presentation. BPT 4th year students Niharika Sharma and Simran Mohi bagged 2nd position in quiz competition. BPT 2nd year student Harwinder Singh stood 3rd in Solo singing competition. The girls of BPT secured third position in group dance competition by performing ‘Gidda’.
