Private group of schools makes home delivery of salary to 300 employees to combat lockdown
Ferozepur, March 30, 2020: At a time when the nation is under lockdown as a safety measure against the spread of Corona pandemic, DCM Group of Schools, in a novel way, has delivered advance salaries to its about 300 support staff at their door step. The idea of ensuring the supply of Salary in the form of hard cash has been adopted to enable these employees to meet with their daily needs during the time when everything has come to a standstill.
Divulging detail, Director Admin, Retired Brigadier Navdeep Mathur said that support staff comprises security guards, drivers, technicians, maids, conductors and sanitation staff. These people need cash at this crucial juncture of lockdown. To allay their fear and insecurity, we have arranged to reach at their door steps to pay their salaries in advance.
He further said that regular medical check- ups of the security staff and other employees who are on duty in shifts is being done and all the requisites safety measures are being taken to keep all immune to the pandemic virus. A control room has been set up in the main branch and a quick reaction team has been formed and on duty round the clock to deal with emergency situation.
Spokesperson of the organisation Vikramaditya Sharma informed that many other organisations have been roped in to arrange food items for the people in need of emergency. He further said DCM Group of Schools is committed to help the public during tough times on the same lines as we accomplished our social commitment during wars of 1965 and 1971 or during floods in 1988.
Deputy CEO of the organisation Gurdeep Singh said we are working closely with police to keep people aware about the precautions to be adopted to keep corona at bay. He further added that though everything is locked down. Our teachers are preparing assignments at home and sending them online to the students so that they can continue their studies sitting safe at home.
