17 people who came in contact with Faridkot’s coronavirus patient quarantined in Ferozepur
Ferozepur, April 6, 2020: As many as 17 people from Ferozepur has been home quarantined, who came in contact with the positive patient of Faridkot, as a precautionary measure, said Kulwant Singh, Deputy Commissioner, Ferozepur.
Divulging with more details, DC said, there was a positive report of a person residing in Harindera Nagar at Faridkot, who had close relations in Ferozepur also.
No travel history of this person was found but it was supposed that he is in forex business and he might have got infected from any client.
He said that in order to protect the relatives and others from the influence of Corona, 17 people have been made home quarantines by the Health Department – 11 in Ferozepur City and 6 in Ferozepur Cantonment. He said that quarantine notices have been pasted outside these persons' houses and police personnel have also been deployed.
DC said though these persons have no symptoms of Corona yet they have been quarantined for health security point of view. He said that there is no positive case in the district.
He also appealed to the people to remain in their homes to avoid the influence of Corona and follow the guidelines and rules issued by the government so that the ongoing war against the Coronavirus can be won.
