PAU holds 'Expert Health Talks' for Agri-Engineers

Ludhiana, May 24, 2024: The Alumni Association, College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology (COAET), and Indian Society for Technical Education(Chapter Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana), organized an ‘Expert Health Talk’ in collaboration with Fortis Hospital, Chandigarh Road, Ludhiana.
Dr Jaspreet Singh Chhabra, Senior Consultant of urology and Kidney Transplant; and Dr Gursimran Kaur, Senior Consultant of obstetrics and Gynaecology from Fortis Hospital, Ludhiana delivered the expert talk.
They delivered enlightening lectures on topics ‘Urological Problems’ and ‘Preventive Health Measures in Women’, respectively. The event, organized at the Jacob Hall of the College, drew over 200 students and faculty members.
The chief guest Dr Manjeet Singh, Dean, COAET, in his remarks, said that such talks are of great importance in creating awareness about the health and wellbeing of society as a whole.
He remarked that more and more applications of engineering sciences are being witnessed in the medical profession in recent times. He appreciated the lectures by both doctors and thanked the management of Fortis Hospital, Ludhiana for their support. Later, he felicitated both the doctors.
In her welcome address, Dr Preetinder Kaur, President, the Alumni Association, COAET, said that the alumni association will continue to organize such talks that go a long way in ensuring the physical health of our students, faculty and staff.
Dr Manpreet Singh shared a brief profile of the expert speakers.Dr JP Singh, Chairman, ISTE Chapter, PAU, alongwith other executive committee members of Alumni Association and ISTE, attended the programme.
Dr Sanjay Satpute ensured the participation of NSS volunteers of the College in this talk. Dr Sandhya moderated the event and Dr Gurnaz Gill proposed a vote of thanks.
