MRSPTU B.Tech students secure Rs 12 LPA placements with Trident Group

Bathinda (Punjab), February 18, 2026: Students from the B.Tech programmes in Textile, Electrical, and Mechanical Engineering at Giani Zail Singh Campus College of Engineering & Technology (GZSCCET), a constituent campus of Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University, have achieved an impressive milestone by securing placements with the Trident Group through campus recruitment.
Four students were selected for coveted roles carrying a package of ₹12 lakh per annum. The selected candidates are Tanishque Vijay and Aditya Masal (both from B.Tech Engineering), and Purbasha Saikia and Rahul (both from B.Tech Textile Engineering), currently pursuing their degrees at GZSCCET, Bathinda.
In addition, seven students were selected as Summer Interns with a stipend of ₹50,000 per month. The interns include Maninder Singh, Noorinderpal Kaur, and Lovepreet Kaur (B.Tech Electrical Engineering); Komal and Aryan Pareek (B.Tech Textile Engineering); and Manish Kumar and Kamarjeet Singh (B.Tech Mechanical Engineering).
Expressing immense satisfaction, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Sanjeev Kumar Sharma, Registrar Dr. Gurinderpal Brar, Campus Director Dr. Sanjeev Aggarwal, and Director (Training & Placement) Er. Harjot Singh Sidhu congratulated the students and applauded their calibre and potential being recognised by a leading industry player. They extended their best wishes for the students’ successful professional journeys.
Motivating the students, Prof. Sharma urged them to stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies. He emphasized that the University is continuously strengthening industry engagement to nurture socially conscious and responsible leaders who can contribute meaningfully on the global stage.
Er. Harjot Singh Sidhu noted that students from core engineering branches are being placed in major industries, calling it a proud moment for the University.
Registrar Dr. Gurinderpal Brar and Campus Director Dr. Sanjeev Aggarwal also congratulated the selected students and encouraged others to leverage campus placements as a strong foundation for their careers, while appreciating the concerted efforts of the Training & Placement Department.
