Sharing details, she said that C-PYTE is an important initiative of the Punjab Government aimed at making youth capable of securing jobs and self-employment. The centre located at Hakumat Singh Wala village has emerged as a boon for local youth.
Camp Training Officer Captain Gurdarshan Singh informed that during the year 2025–26, a total of 1,287 youths were trained at the centre, out of which 270 secured employment. Among them, 227 were recruited under the Army Agniveer scheme, four in Punjab Police, four in paramilitary forces, 31 in various government jobs, while four opted for self-employment.
He further added that under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana, 150 youth were provided training as security guards in coordination with Parota Tech Private Limited. After completing the course, many candidates secured jobs with PESCO and other institutions across Punjab.
In addition, special training is imparted to enhance self-discipline, personality development, and communication skills of the youth. Two candidates were trained in a free JCB course at the State Institute of Automotive and Driving Skills, Mahuana (Muktsar), while 13 youth completed drone operating training at ITI Ropar and are now performing well in their respective fields.
Appealing to the youth, the Deputy Commissioner urged them to register in large numbers at the C-PYTE camp to avail training opportunities based on their aptitude. She highlighted that the camp provides preparation for both written examinations and physical tests, along with modern facilities including digital classrooms, high-standard tracks, hostel accommodation, dining hall, indoor and outdoor gym.
She added that the Punjab Government provides free lodging and food during the training period, and no fee is charged from the candidates. She encouraged youth to take maximum benefit of this initiative to secure a bright future.
