Technical workshop on ‘Circuit Design and Simulation’ successfully Concludes at SBSSU
Ferozepur, April 16, 2026: A one-day interactive technical workshop on “Circuit Design, Simulation and Testing Using Free Simulation Software” was successfully organized jointly by the Departments of Electronics & Communication Engineering and Electrical Engineering at Shaheed Bhagat Singh State University.
Held under the patronage of Vice-Chancellor Dr. Suresh Kumar Sharma, the workshop marked a significant step towards promoting interdisciplinary academic collaboration. The event commenced with an introductory address by Co-Coordinator Mrs. Navdeep Kaur Jhajj, Assistant Professor, who highlighted the objectives of the workshop and introduced the keynote speaker, Dr. Balwinder Singh Dhaliwal from NITTTR, Chandigarh.
Registrar Dr. Rajeev Arora and Head of Department Dr Vikram Mutneja formally welcomed the keynote speaker and appreciated his presence on campus to share his vast expertise with students and faculty members and emphasized the importance of multidisciplinary learning and encouraged students to develop a problem-solving mindset using modern technological tools.
In his session, Dr. Dhaliwal elaborated on the fundamentals of circuit design, introduced participants to free simulation software, and discussed testing and debugging techniques along with their real-world applications. The highlight of the workshop was a hands-on practical session, where students gained experience in designing and testing circuits using open-source platforms.
At the conclusion of the workshop, Dr Rajiv Arora, Register honoured Dr. Balwinder Singh Dhaliwal with a memento by the university.
The event witnessed the presence of Registrar Dr. Rajeev Arora, Convener Dr. Vikram Mutneja, Coordinator Dr. Jaswinder Kaur, Co-Coordinator Mrs. Navdeep Kaur Jhajj, Mrs. Maninder Kaur, Dr. Rajni, Mrs. Navneet Kaur, Mr. Inderjit Singh Gill, Mr. Chakshu Goel, Mr. Ravi Kant Grover, along with a large number of students, faculty, and staff members.
Campus PRO Yashpal informed that the stage proceedings were efficiently conducted by Mrs. Navdeep Kaur Jhajj. The event concluded with a vote of thanks presented by Dr. Vikram Mutneja, who expressed gratitude to the keynote speaker and all participants for making the workshop a success.
