Chandigarh, December 24, 2025: Bollywood singer and rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh has once again landed in controversy, with fresh legal trouble surfacing over his two-year-old song ‘Naagan (Naagan 3.0)’.
A BJP leader from Jalandhar has raised strong objections to the alleged obscenity in the song and has submitted a written complaint to Punjab Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav.
In the complaint, the BJP leader has demanded registration of an FIR against the singer and sought the immediate removal of the video from YouTube and all other social media platforms.
BJP leader Arvind Sharma, in his complaint, stated that he recently watched the video, which allegedly shows Yo Yo Honey Singh performing objectionable dance sequences with women dressed in bikinis. He alleged that the song promotes nudity and vulgar visuals, which are completely against Punjabi culture and disrespectful to women.
Sharma claimed that under the guise of entertainment, Punjab’s cultural identity and moral values are being distorted, which, he said, would not be tolerated.
Raising another serious concern, the complainant pointed out that the song is freely available on YouTube without any age restriction. This, he said, allows children and teenagers to watch the video easily, adversely affecting their mindset.
Calling it a matter of public interest, he urged strict legal action against Honey Singh and others associated with the production of the video.
Notably, ‘Naagan 3.0’ was released on April 15, 2023, nearly two years ago, and has since garnered over 14 million views. Even at the time of its release, questions were raised about the visuals shown in the video, but no concrete action was taken, allowing the song to remain accessible online without restrictions.
As of now, no official response has been issued by the police or the singer, while the complaint has added to the growing scrutiny surrounding the controversial track.
