500 youth join Sardar @150 Unity March; Rajya Sabha MP Indu Goswami Lleads celebrations
Fazilka, November 24, 2025: Today, Sardar @150 Unity March was successfully organised in Fazilka by MyBharat Fazilka, under the aegis of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India. The event marked the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India, and highlighted his unparalleled contribution in uniting the nation.
The program was graced by the Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha, Madam Indu Goswami, who attended as the Chief Guest. In her address, Madam Goswami shared detailed insights into the monumental work done by Sardar Patel, particularly his instrumental role in integrating princely states and strengthening the unity and integrity of India. She encouraged the youth to draw inspiration from Sardar Patel’s vision, determination and commitment towards nation-building.
The event featured several activities, including the Atma Nirbhar Bharat Pledge, inspiring the participants to contribute actively toward a self-reliant India. Various cultural performances showcasing patriotism, unity, and national heritage added further vibrancy to the program.
District Youth Officer Rahul Saini briefed the gathering about the purpose of the Unity March and the initiatives undertaken by MyBharat under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports to empower and connect young citizens across the nation. He highlighted the importance of youth engagement in nation-building activities and appreciated the enthusiastic participation witnessed in Fazilka.
From the district administration, SDM Fazilka, Madam Veerpal Kaur, attended the program and played a crucial role in ensuring smooth implementation and coordination. Her support significantly contributed to the success of the event.
A strong presence of multiple government departments enriched the program, including representatives from Health, Food Safety, Municipal Council, District Education Office, and heads of various educational institutions of the district. Their cooperation and involvement underscored the collective commitment toward youth development and community engagement.
