Bathinda, August 24, 2020: Prof. Raghavendra Prasad Tiwari, after assuming the office as the third Vice-Chancellor of the Central University of Punjab paid obeisance at ‘Takhat Shri Damdama Sahib, Talwandi Sabo’. He bowed to the holy land known as ‘Guru ki Kanshi. He offered ardas at the sacred place and took the mission of making quality education accessible to all.
During this visit, CUPB Officials briefed the Vice-Chancellor about the details of the rich cultural heritage preserved at Gurudwara Sahib. On this occasion, Prof. Tiwari, VC, CUPB, met Gini Harpreet Singh, Jathedar, Takhat Shri Damdama Sahib, and Officiating Jathedaar, Akal Takhat Sahib, and presented a book written by Prof. Harpal Singh Pannu, Chair Professor, Shri Guru Gobind Singh Chair, CUPB.
Prof. Tiwari assured Jathedar Harpreet Singh to work for promoting the culture of Punjab that is endowed with great human values, and to work for skilling and up-skilling of youth to enable them to engage in meaning economic activities and or serving the society.
After paying respect at the Gurudwara Sahib, Prof. Tiwari said that teachings of Guru Gobind Singh ji will continue to inspire us to walk on the path of truth, justice, compassion, brotherhood and oneness.
