Canadian leader Ujjal Dosanjh threatens to publicly torch his LLB degree. Know why
Says will publicly torch his UBC's LLB degree if veteran journalist talk gets cancelled
Chandigarh, April 2, 2021: CFormer Federal minister of Canada and former BC Prmier Ujjal Dosanjh has strongly come out in support of veteran journalist Hartosh Singh Bal and announced to publicly burn his University of British Columbia (UBC) degree if the latter's scheduled talk gets canceled.
Taking to Twitter, the former Federal Minister of Canada, Dosanjh said that if the University cancels Bal's appearance in the panel due to Khalistani's pressure, he will torch his LLB degree from University.
"I often disagree with Singh and Bal. If UBC cancels Bal due to Khalistanis's pressure I'll publicly torch my UBC LLB degree," said Ujjal Dosanjh.

It is to be mentioned that Hartosh Singh Bal, political editor of New-Delhi-based Caravan magazine is scheduled to talk in the annual Harjit Kaur Sidhu Memorial Program on April 7. The online event has been planned by the department of Asian Studies, UBC. Bal has been invited to speak on the ongoing farmers' protest.
Ahead of his scheduled talk, there have been reports that some Sikh activists are resisting his appearance in the event. Pertinently, Bal is the nephew of former Punjab Police chief late KPS Gill.
