Sharandeep Singh declared winner of turban tying competition
Patiala April 11, 2021: In a series of events being organized by the Punjab Government dedicated to the 400th birth anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, the Education Department under the leadership of District Education Officer (DEO) Patiala Harinder Kaur organized an online turban tying competition.
Sharandeep Singh Cheema Class XII, Harpreet Singh Suhron Class XII, and Sharanjit Singh Sandhu Seona Class XII secured first, second and third places respectively in the competitions organized by Government Co-ed Multipurpose Senior Secondary School, Passi Road, Patiala. The prizes were distributed to the winning students by Principal Tota Singh Chahal National Awardee.
On this occasion, he said that Punjab Government was making a concerted effort to hold such competitions to make the new generation aware of the incomparable martyrdom of Sikh Gurus.
This inculcates moral values in the new generation and also inspires them to inherit great heritage from history.
He congratulated the students who participated in the turban competitions. Iqbal Singh, Ramesh Kumar, and Ramratan Singh were also present on the occasion.
