Two Gym owners booked for not following COVID guidelines
Ferozepur, April 24, 2021: The Ferozepur police have registered first information reports – FIRs – against violators of Covid-19 norms, against two Gym owners.
The state government had clamped stricter curbs including night curfew and closure of all bars, cinema halls, gyms, spas, coaching centers, sports complexes, with restaurants and hotels to be opened only for takeaway and home delivery besides banning the gatherings of more than 20 persons for wedding/funerals.
Since the citizens are still taking things seriously, the police administration has come forward to be serious against the violators as in a single day on Friday 229 Corona positive cases have been reported with around 700 still active cases besides declaring three micro containment zones.
As per the information, the police during patrolling found that Sandeep Kumar and Punit Kapoor were running a gym in violation of instructions and on asking they could not give a satisfactory reply. Both were booked under Section 188/269 IPC, 51-B Disaster Management Act 2005 and 3, Epidemic Diseases Act 1897. However, both were released on bail.
