UT Adviser inaugurates another Mini COVID Care Centre in city
Mini COVID care centres have 100 oxygen beds, says Parida
Chandigarh, May 19, 2021:
The Project Q Mini COVID Care Centre was inaugurated on Wednesday in the Community Centre of Sector 47 in the presence of Manoj Parida, Adviser to the Administrator, Chandigarh. The mini COVID care centre was launched by Rotary Satellite Club in association with Chandigarh Administration.
As per the Rotary Club, this 20 bedded centre has been made to provide relief to the sufferings of Patients. Many philanthropists and Rotarians played a pivotal role in the functioning of this centre.
Manoj Parida expressed his gratitude to Rotarians RK Saboo, Tanu Mehtani and MP Singh for contributing to the welfare of the society in such tough times. He also said that, “The Chandigarh Administration will extend every possible help to run this makeshift hospital.”
Yash Pal Garg, CEO, Chandigarh Housing Board-cum- Nodal Officer for Mini Covid Centres, was also present on this occasion.
UT Adviser Manoj Parida has also stated that with the setting-up of these mini COVID care centres, the city has 100 oxygen beds for COVID patients in these centres. The treatment is totally free here.
"Thanks to great voluntary effort of local organizations, we have 100 oxygen beds available for covid patients in our Mini Centres. For free medical treatment, any patient from Tricity can get his/her treatment here," said Adviser Manoj Parida.
