Mohali, February 14, 2022: Actor turned politician MP Manoj Tiwari campaigned in support of BJP candidates for Mohali, Sanjeev Vashisht.
They interacted with local residents and raised common issues such as deteriorating law and order in the state and the increasing menace of drugs, besides other problems.
Tiwari asserted that law and order had completely failed in Punjab. Moreover, the problem of drugs has also destroyed several families across the state.
Addressing the gathering in Jagatpur & Balongi Tiwari alleged that the Congress government in Punjab discriminated against the poor, particularly migrants, in distributing even ration to them during COVID-19 lockdown.
The ration was sent by the center was not distributed to the underprivileged or poor people even in such a tough time.
He stressed such a party should be taught a befitting lesson for the discrimination.
Manoj Tiwari claimed that the BJP is the only party that is working for the welfare of the community. Farmers of Punjab had no issue with the BJP and are supporting the party.
According to him, there is a wave of the BJP in Punjab. the BJP is getting good support from rural and urban areas. Voters are mature in Punjab and they know BJP can be a help for them. He later appealed to residents to vote for BJP to make Mohali corruption-free.
According to Tiwari the Delhi model of Kejriwal is a failed model of the country. Elderly, disabled persons, and widows are not getting the pension in the city. Kejriwal is spreading lies about the development of Delhi to mislead Punjab voters.
He claimed that the mohalla clinic system in Delhi had failed and most of these clinics did not have medicines and remained closed during the crucial Covid-19 times when it was needed. The BJP leader alleged that Arvind Kejriwal is spending a huge amount on campaigning. He had robbed Delhi and was planning to rob Punjab.
Sanjeev Vashisht later, addressing the gathering stressed that nothing has been done in the name of progress in Mohali by congress in the past.
According to him, many areas of Mohali lacks basic amenities like sanitation, drainage system, whenever it rains roads are waterlogged, which is an open invitation for mosquitoes that cause Dengue Malaria. Potholes on the roads, stray cattle, garbage heaps, erratic electricity supply are other basic problems faced by residents.
Sanjeev Vashisht said such basic requirements would be addressed on a priority basis after forming the government.
