Tarsem Singh, Person with Disability (PwD) Voter becomes first to cast vote in Ferozepur Rural constituency
Ferozepur, February, 2022: Tarsem Singh, a voter of Person with Disability (PwD) was the first to cast his vote in 077-Ferozepur Rural Constituency.
Kamal Sharma, SVEEP in charge informed that Tarsem Singh, PwD voter was first to cast his vote at Ferozshah village booth number 185.
Tarsem Singh was feeling enthusiastic and excited to cast vote as first person at the booth. He said, my vote will a participating in strengthening the world’s largest democracy in India.
Added here, there are 7,28,873 voters in Ferozepur district – 382,881 male, 3,45,977 female and 15 others, 2,854 Service Voters - 2,795 male, 59 female, 12,212 Electors of 18-19, 3,578 PwD voters, 16,047 80+ voters, Webcasting 902 with 62 ELC in schools and 18 in colleges.
In Punjab, there are 2,14,99,804 voters in Punjab who are eligible to exercise their franchise on Sunday. He said that there are 1304 candidates--1209 male, 93 women and two transgenders are in the fray in 117 constituencies. A total of 1,304 candidates-- 231 are from national parties, 250 from state parties, 362 from unrecognised Parties, and 461 are Independent candidates.
