Labour Deptt holds camp for online registration of construction workers at Nakodar
Jalandhar, May 14,2022: A registration camp was organized by the Labour Department, Jalandhar at Nakodar today to register the construction workers working in District Jalandhar with the Punjab Building and other construction labour boards.
During the camp held at Nakodar Seva Kendra, online registration of construction workers from nearby villages was done and they were also briefed about the welfare schemes of Punjab Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board.
On this occasion Assistant Labour Commissioner of Labour Department Pradeep Chaudhary, L.E.O. Chandan Gill and technical assistant Lovely Kundal were present.
They said that a construction worker, who is above 18 years of age and under 60 years of age and has done construction work for 90 days in a year, is eligible to be registered with the board and registered beneficiaries are entitled to avail the benefit of welfare schemes run by the board on fulfilment of conditions after registration.
Pardeep Choudhary said, that along with the application form for registration, Aadhar Card/PAN Card/Passport (with full date of birth), copy of bank account of worker and his family members, live photo, registration fee of Rs.25 and Rs.10 per month contribution (from 1 year to 5 years) is mandatory.
