Ravinder Bishnoi from CGC Landran exhibits Startup at National Technology Week, interacts with PM Modi

Chandigarh, May 19, 2023: Ravinder Bishnoi, 3rd year, IT engineering student from Chandigarh Group of Colleges (CGC) Landran got an opportunity to interact with the Prime Minister of India, Sri Narendra Modi while showcasing his patented inventions as well as the startup cofounded by him, during the National Technology Week 2023 (NTW) celebrations organized at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
Ravinder exhibited his startup and inventions at the Atal Innovation Mission’s (AIM) pavilion at the National Technology Week designed on the theme – ‘From school to startup: Igniting young minds to innovate’.
Budding entrepreneurs like him were provided this unique platform by AIM to show how their inventions and startups could help solve critical challenges across sectors of space, climate tech, Health, Mobility, Agriculture, and others.
Additionally, he also conducted a session on patents and the patent filing process during the event, for both students and teachers from around 22 states across India, who too were participating in the National Technology Week 2023.
His startup which has been incubated in and is being supported by AIM, ACIC RISE association, and CGC Landran, provides solutions for the automobile sector and users. It is worth noting that this talented CGCian, recently, also brought laurels to the institutions by winning a grant of INR One Crore under the Atal New India Challenge (ANIC 2.0) a national level, flagship program of Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) and NITI Aayog.
The CGCian thanked, AIM, the ACIC RISE association, CGC Landran, his teachers, and parents for their unwavering support in encouraging and nurturing his flair for innovation and entrepreneurship.
Sharing his experience of interacting with the Prime Minister, Ravinder said, “It was a proud moment as well as a unique experience for me to be able to meet and speak to the Hon’ble Prime Minister and represent my college at the national level event. I was able to showcase to him one of my patented inventions, the Vehicle Horn Control Assembly, as also the objective and utility of the startup cofounded by me.”
He further added, “The exposure and encouragement I received from this opportunity has strengthened my resolve to work harder and come up with better innovations that will help make our country stronger.”
Satnam Singh Sandhu, Chairman, of CGC Landran, and Rashpal Sigh Dhaliwal, President, of CGC Landran, lauded Ravinder’s achievement and called him an inspiration for his fellow students. They wished him continued success in his journey both as a student and a budding entrepreneur.
