Chandigarh, August 7, 2023- To stop manual cleaning of sewerage pipes, the Municipal Corporation Chandigarh has Commissioned Bandicoot sewer cleaning robots, de-silting grabbing machines, de-silting suction machines, sewer inspection cameras and Power Rodding machines alongwith Sewer root cutting equipments.
It is the latest machine technologically advanced equipments including mini-sewer cleaning machine which the MCC commissioned to make the city reduce manual waste cleaning and management.
Anup Gupta, Mayor, Chandigarh flagged off the fleet of new machinery added as per the guidelines of Namsate scheme from the MCC office premises, Sector 17 here today in the presence of Anindita Mitra, IAS, Commissioner, Sh. Vinay Partap Singh, Deputy Commissioner, Chandigarh and other officers of MCC.
While sharing information about the machinery and its usage, city Mayor Anup Gupta said that the cutting-edge machinery introduced by MCC is poised to revolutionize the city's sewer cleaning operations through its incorporation of advanced technology and innovative features.
With its array of state-of-the-art equipment, this machinery is set to streamline and expedite the cleaning process, ensuring a more efficient and comprehensive outcome.
