Full Text of the Release Issued by Peel Region Police, Ontario
Region of Peel – Today, Peel Regional Police announced the results of Project Odyssey, an investigation into an organized crime group responsible for the theft and transport of stolen vehicles through intermodal hubs across the Greater Toronto Area to the Port of Montreal. Investigators have identified a Peel based company that was facilitating the transport of stolen vehicles out of a trucking yard in Brampton, Ontario.
The seven-month long investigation to date has resulted in:
- 16 arrests, 322 Criminal Code charges laid, and 10 additional arrest warrants issued.
- 369 stolen vehicles recovered with a value of $33,200,000.00.
- 255 vehicles recovered in Peel Region and 114 vehicles recovered at the Port of Montreal.
- 3 transport trucks and 2 bobcats were seized under the forfeiture of offence-related property.
"Project Odyssey is another example of incredible investigative work by our Commercial Auto Crime Bureau. In 2023, Peel Regional Police doubled the size of the Unit making it one of the largest in the country. Over the last 18 months, we have arrested close to 200 individuals, laid approximately 1,600 auto theft related offence charges, and recovered close to $100,000,000 in stolen vehicles," said Chief Nishan Duraiappah, Peel Regional Police.
PRP has arrested and charged the following 16 individuals through Project Odyssey:
Beerpal Singh, 29-year-old from Brampton, is charged with the following offences:
- Trafficking in Stolen Goods Over $5000 (X72)
- Conspiracy to Commit an Indictable Offence
- Careless Storage of a Firearm
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
- Knowledge of an Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
- Possession of a Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm
- Tampering with a serial number of a Firearm
- Disobeying a Court Order
Harmeet Singh,34-year-old from Brampton, is charged with the following offences:
- Trafficking in Stolen Goods Over $5000 (X35)
- Conspiracy to Commit an Indictable Offence
Valbir Singh, 49-year-old from Brampton is charged with the following offences:
- Conspiracy to Commit Indictable Offence
- Trafficking in Stolen Goods Over $5000 (X53)
Valbir was on release order for auto theft related offences at time of his arrest.
Guljinder Singh, 29-year-old from Bolton is charged with the following offences:
- Trafficking in Stolen Goods over $5000 (X62)
- Conspiracy to Commit an Indictable Offence
Gurpreet Dhillon, 41-years old from Brampton is charged with the following offences:
- Trafficking in Stolen Goods over $5000 (X27)
Albijon Nura, 20-year-old from Toronto is charged with the following offences:
- Trafficking in Stolen Goods Over $5000 (X5)
- Breach of Court Order
Albijon was on a release order for auto theft related offences at time of his arrest.
Clawens St. Fleurant, 21-year-old from Quebec is charged with the following offences:
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000

Mohammad Siddiqui, 40-year-old from Mississauga is charged with the following offences:
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000 (X17)
- Fail to comply with release order

Asad Mayo, 28-year-old from Mississauga is charged with the following offences:
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000

- Trafficking Stolen Goods over $5000 (X6)

Ethan Brown, 19-year-old from Toronto is charged with the following offences:

They were all held for bail hearings and attended the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.
Jagmohan Singh, 57-year-old from Brampton is charged with the following offences:
- Trafficking in Stolen Goods over $5000 (X11)
- Conspiracy to Commit an Indictable Offence
Asiful Haque, 26-year-old from Scarborough is charged with the following offences:
- Trafficking in Stolen Goods over $5000 (X6)
Florent Bllacaku, a 23-year-old from Toronto is charged with the following offence:
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5000
Tahmid Kazi, 21-year-old from Toronto is wanted for the following offences:
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime (X2)
A 17-year-old young person from Toronto is charged with the following offences:
- Theft of Vehicle (X3)
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5000 (X3)
They were all released to attend the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton at a later date.
Valid Mustamandi, a 24-year-old from Quebec is wanted for the following offences:
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
- Trafficking Property Obtained by Crime
On two Probation Orders for auto theft related offences at the time of the offence.
Benjy Blain, a 31-year-old from Quebec is wanted for the following offences:
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
- Trafficking Property Obtained by Crime
On a release order for auto theft related offences at the time of the offence.
Terrance Bellerive Toussaint, 30-year-old from Quebec is wanted for the following offences:
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
- Trafficking Property Obtained by Crime
On a release order for auto theft related offences at the time of the offence.
Sarugan Raja, 20-year-old Toronto is wanted for the following offences:
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
On a release order for auto theft offences at the time of the offence.
Abhinash Shanmuganathan, 21-year-old Toronto is wanted for the following offences:
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
On a Probation Order and release order for auto theft offences at the time of the offence.
Xavier Audate, 27-year-old, Quebec is wanted for the following offences:
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
- Trafficking of Property Obtained by Crime
- Theft of Motor Vehicle
On a release order for auto theft related offences at the time of the offence.
Amine Chakkir, 35-year-old Quebec is wanted for the following offences:
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5000
- Trafficking of Property Obtained by Crime
Yanis Adrar, 18-year-old Quebec Is wanted for the following offences:
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5000
- Trafficking of Property Obtained by Crime

Nadir Bennouna, 24-year-old Quebec is wanted for the following offences:
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5000

A young person, 16-year-old Toronto is wanted for the following offences:
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5000
These individuals are encouraged to seek legal counsel and turn themselves into police.
