SAS Nagar: 49 aged and PwD voters exercise their franchise from home

SAS Nagar, May 28, 2024:As per the facilitation provided by the ECI for making aged and PwD voters inclusive to the Lok Sabha Elections-2024 by casting their votes from home, as many as 49 such voters exercised their franchise from home, in SAS Nagar Constituency.
Divulging the details, ARO-cum-SDM Deepankar Garg said that before the voting, our teams visited house to house to get the consent of the aged voters (85 years and above) and PwD voters to opt for the Vote From Home.
He said that yesterday the teams were sent to the voters who have got themselves registered under the Absentee Voters in the Category of Senior Citizens and PwD.
As many as 49 voters cast their votes from home, he said by adding that out of these 37 belong to 85 years and above categories while 12 to PwD.
