Rajya Sabha MP Sanjeev Arora presents 3-year report card at Ludhiana by-election rally

Ludhiana (Punjab), May 4, 2025 – Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament Sanjeev Arora addressed a public meeting in Dyal Nagar on Saturday evening as part of his campaign for the upcoming Ludhiana (West) Assembly by-election.
The seat became vacant following the sudden demise of sitting AAP MLA Gurpreet Singh Gogi.During the rally, Arora paid tribute to the late MLA, referring to him as a “brother” and recalling their close collaboration on developmental initiatives.
He revealed that, at Gogi’s request, he had allocated a substantial portion of his MPLAD (Member of Parliament Local Area Development) funds for the renovation and modernization of government schools in the constituency.
Arora also extended his support to Dr. Sukhchain Kaur Bassi, Gogi’s widow, who was recently appointed as Chairperson of the Punjab Energy Development Agency (PEDA).
Referring to her as a “sister,” he expressed confidence in her ability to carry forward the party’s mission of progress and public service.
Dr. Bassi, in turn, called on residents to support Arora, praising his dedication and contributions to Ludhiana’s development during his tenure in the Rajya Sabha.
Also speaking at the event, MLA Daljit Singh Grewal (Bhola) commended Arora’s commitment to infrastructure and welfare projects in the region.He emphasized the importance of voter turnout and described Arora as a leader deeply invested in Ludhiana’s long-term growth and prosperity.
On the occasion, Samay Singh Birla, President of Ambedkar Lok Manch Ludhiana, raised the issue of property rights for residents in underserved areas, including Ghumar Mandi, Labour Colony (Jawahar Nagar Camp), Z-Block (Maharishi Valmiki Nagar), SBS Nagar (E-Block), and Pavittar Nagar (Haibowal).
Arora assured the gathering that he would seriously consider their demands and work toward a resolution.
The rally concluded with a call for unity and voter participation, with local leaders expressing optimism about Arora’s candidacy and the continued development of Ludhiana (West).
