Students celebrate Raksha Bandhan with BSF officers, tie eco-friendly Rakhis
Ferozepur, August 8, 2025: Students of Vivekananda World School marked the festival of Raksha Bandhan in a unique and heartfelt way by tying eco-friendly rakhis to Border Security Force (BSF) officers, including Vijai Rana, DIG, BSF, as a gesture of respect and gratitude for their service to the nation.
Speaking on the occasion, the school’s Director, Dr. S. N. Rudra, said the initiative aimed to honour the courage and sacrifices of the soldiers who guard India's borders day and night. The use of eco-friendly rakhis also served as a symbolic message promoting environmental consciousness and sustainable living.
The students expressed that Raksha Bandhan is not only a celebration of sibling bonds but also an opportunity to thank the brave soldiers who protect the country like true guardians. Through this gesture, they extended their appreciation and trust towards the security forces.
Vijai Rana, while blessing the students, said that serving on the border is the highest form of devotion to the motherland. He encouraged the students to keep the nation’s interest above all and shared motivating anecdotes about the hardships and responsibilities of border duty. His words instilled a sense of pride and patriotism among the young minds.
The event also included an interactive session where students engaged with BSF officers, learned about their experiences, and pledged to contribute to the nation’s progress in their capacities.
