Three new Vandhe Bharat train services from Aug 10 Including 10 services in Punjab
6.3 cr passengers travelled in Vandhe Bharat trains so far
Ferozepur, August 9, 2025: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off three new Vande Bharat Express trains on August 10 — KSR Bengaluru–Belagavi, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra–Amritsar, and Nagpur (Ajni)–Pune — further expanding the country’s semi-high-speed rail network, said DRM Ferozepur.
He said, the new services will boost tourism and economic activities in Karnataka, Maharashtra, Punjab, and Jammu & Kashmir. With these additions, the total number of Vande Bharat train services nationwide will increase from 144 to 150. So far, more than 6.3 crore passengers have travelled on Vande Bharat trains.
State-wise expansion: Karnataka: 11 trains (22 services, Maharashtra: 12 trains (24 services), Punjab: 5 trains (10 services), Jammu & Kashmir: 5 trains (10 services)
Key stoppages: KSR Bengaluru–Belagavi: Dharwad, Hubballi, Haveri, Davanagere, Tumakuru, Yeshvantpur, Nagpur (Ajni)–Pune: Wardha, Badnera, Shegaon, Akola, Bhusawal, Jalgaon, Manmad, Kopargaon, Ahilyanagar, Daund Chord Line, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra–Amritsar: Jammu Tawi, Pathankot Cantt, Jalandhar City, Beas.
Fully indigenous and equipped with the Kavach safety system, the Vande Bharat Express features foldable snack tables, mobile charging ports, comfortable seats, modern toilets, infotainment, and GPS-based real-time tracking for station, speed, and location updates.
