No drone zone declared ahead of CM Mann’s visit

Rupnagar (Punjab), August 17, 2025: Additional District Magistrate Rupnagar, Chandrajyoti Singh, has declared a No Drone Zone in the Sub-Division Sri Chamkaur Sahib for August 18, 2025, in view of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann’s scheduled visit.
The Chief Minister will visit Civil Hospital, Sri Chamkaur Sahib, and Ekam Palace, Salahpur. The order has been issued under Section 163 of the Indian Civil Protection Act, 2023, citing security concerns.
The ADM clarified that the restriction applies to all drone activities, with the sole exception of the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Rupnagar.
