New Delhi, August 17, 2025: Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar on Sunday said that the decision on when to conduct the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) in West Bengal or any other state will be taken collectively by all three Election Commissioners.
“The three Election Commissioners will jointly decide the schedule for the exercise of SIR. It will not be an individual decision but one taken unanimously by the Commission,” Kumar stated.
The remark comes amid heightened political focus on the voter list revision process, particularly in poll-bound states.
