Chandigarh, August 17, 2025 – Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday praised the leadership of Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, highlighting that under his tenure, government jobs in the state are being provided purely on the basis of merit and transparency.
Speaking at a programme in New Delhi during the inauguration of the Dwarka Expressway and UER-2 National Highway projects worth about ₹11,000 crore, the Prime Minister contrasted the present system with earlier Congress governments, when “parchi and kharchi” (recommendations and money) allegedly dictated government appointments.
“The BJP government has provided lakhs of youth in Haryana with jobs purely on merit. Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini is committed to carrying this forward,” PM Modi said. He added that the government’s constant endeavour is to simplify people’s lives, a goal reflected in its policies and decisions.
Expressing gratitude, CM Saini said that PM Modi’s guidance is the “biggest strength” of the Haryana government. He assured that ensuring fair, transparent, and merit-based opportunities for the youth remains the top priority.
“With the Prime Minister’s blessings, Haryana will continue moving swiftly on the path of development and good governance,” Saini stated.
