Ferozepur, August 26, 2025: Continuous rainfall in the hilly areas for the past two days, coupled with heavy water release from Harike Headworks, has triggered flood-like conditions in several villages along the Sutlej River in Ferozepur district.
Amid this situation, as many as 110 flood-affected residents have been evacuated and accommodated at a temporary relief camp set up in Government Senior Secondary Smart School, Bareke. Deputy Commissioner Deep Shikha Sharma visited the camp, late at night, to review the arrangements.
