BSF foils narco-smuggling bid on Punjab Border, seizes drone, over 7 Kg heroin
Ferozepur, August 28, 2025: The flood situation on Punjab border could not deter the resolve of BSF. Conducting multiple operations in border areas of Punjab, the vigilant BSF troops apprehended 01 smuggler with heroin and 01 Hexacopter drone along with huge consignment of heroin.
Last evening, alert BSF troops conducted an operation which led to the apprehension of 01 smuggler with 01 packet of heroin (Gross weight - 490 Grams) from a farming field near village- Attari, Amritsar. The individual is handed over to NCB, Amritsar for further investigations.
On Ferozepur border, the vigilant BSF troops in collaboration with Punjab Police launched an extensive search operation and recovered 01 assembled Hexacopter carrying 01 huge packet containing 12 small packets of heroin (Gross Weight- 6.086 Kgs) from village JK Singh Wala in Ferozepur.
Today's night, acting on credible information, BSF troops conducted a search, which culminated into recovery of 01 packet of heroin (Gross Weight- 536 Grams appx) near village- Chak Wazida in Fazilka.
The significant seizures and apprehension highlight BSF's dedication to safeguard the border from the menace of narco-smuggling through aerial routes by Pakistan backed syndicates.
