Railways to run two special trains from Jammu Tawi for stranded passengers
Ferozepur, August 28, 2025: To facilitate the movement of stranded passengers, Indian Railways has announced the operation of two special trains from Jammu Tawi station today.
According to Chief Public Relations Officer Himanshu Shekhar Upadhyay, Train No. 02238 will run between Jammu Tawi and Varanasi Junction. The train will depart from Jammu at 3:00 PM on August 28, 2025, following the same route as Train No. 12238.
In addition, the Train No. 04680 (Unreserved Special) will operate between Jammu Tawi and New Delhi, departing at 4:30 PM. This train will halt at Kathua, Pathankot Cantt, Jalandhar Cantt, Ludhiana Junction, Ambala Cantt, and Panipat Junction en route.
The special arrangement has been made to ensure timely assistance to passengers affected by disruptions in rail services.
