MLAs, Mayor, DC and Chairmen send six trucks carrying relief material to flood affected Pathankot
More than 5000 ration kits, medicines, fodder and other material dispatched

Ludhiana (Punjab), August 29, 2025: In a unified effort to support the flood-affected residents of Pathankot, MLAs Daljit Singh Bhola Grewal, Madan Lal Bagga, Ashok Parashar Pappi, Kulwant Singh Sidhu, Rajinder Pal Kaur Chhina, Mayor Principal Inderjit Kaur, Deputy Commissioner Himanshu Jain on Friday morning sent six trucks carrying relief material 5000 ration kits for the flood affected Pathankot outside Verka Milk Plant.
Deputy Mayor Prince Johar Punjab Genco Limited Chairman Navjot Singh Jarg, Senior Vice Chairman, Punjab Medium Industry Board Sharanpal Singh Makkar, LIT Chairman Tarsem Singh Bhinder, District Planning Board Chairman Jatinder Singh Khangura and others were present.
The MLAs, Mayor, DC Chairmen emphasized that the relief material was dispatched under the directives of the Punjab state government.
"It is our collective responsibility as Punjabis to stand in solidarity with our brothers and sisters in Pathankot during this challenging time," they stated.
The ration kits will provide some assistance to families impacted by the floods, ensuring access to essential supplies. They also appealed to the people of Punjab to come together in prayer for the swift restoration of normalcy in the flood-affected regions.
Prominent amongst those present on the occasion included Market Committee Chairman Gurjeet Gill, Amrinder Pal Singh MP Jawaddi, Manisha Kapoor, Kanojia Welfare Board Chairman Raju Kanojia and others.
