CM’s Yogshala benefits over 9K people daily in Ferozepur with 326 free classes
Ferozepur, September 30, 2025: The Punjab Government’s flagship health initiative, ‘CM’s Yogshala’, has emerged as a major support for thousands of people in adopting a healthier lifestyle. Launched across all cities in October 2023, the project is currently running 326 yoga classes in the Ferozepur district, benefitting over 9,000 people daily.
Deputy Commissioner Deep Shikha Sharma said the Yogshala project is playing a vital role in building a healthier Punjab. She added that yoga classes are being held free of cost in Ferozepur, Guru Har Sahai, Zira, Makhu, and several villages, under the guidance of expert trainers appointed by the Punjab Government.
In Ferozepur district, 90 qualified yoga trainers have been deployed to conduct morning and evening sessions. Along with yoga practice, participants are also being sensitised about the benefits of yoga, a balanced diet, and an overall healthy lifestyle.
DC appealed to residents to take full advantage of the free classes, open to all age groups, including children, youth, women, and the elderly.
