CGC Landran organizes first conference on Advanced Sustainability 2025

Chandigarh, October 14,2025: The departments of Applied Sciences, Chandigarh Engineering College and College of Engineering CGC Landran, jointly organised a two-day International Conference on Advanced Sustainability (ICAS-2025) under the theme 'Innovative Solutions for the Environment and Energy.'
The event brought together researchers and experts from across the globe to discuss emerging environmental, energy challenges and exchange of ideas dedicated to advancing sustainable innovation.
The conference was inaugurated by Chief Guest Prof. (Dr.) Hitesh Sharma, Registrar, NIT Delhi and Guest of Honour Dr. Rakesh Sharda, Project Coordinator, ICAR-CIPHET Ludhiana in the presence of Dr. Rajdeep Singh, Campus Director, CGC Landran, HoDs and Directors of the institution. Out of 350 global manuscript submissions, 110 were accepted for publication after a rigorous peer-review process, reflecting the event’s strong academic impact.
The valedictory ceremony, featured Prof. (Dr.) Subhash Chandra Martha from IIT Ropar as Guest of Honour. He delivered an insightful address on the role of research and technology in achieving global sustainability goals.
Reflecting on the successful conclusion of ICAS-2025, Dr. Rajdeep Singh said, “The exchange of ideas, innovations, and partnerships witnessed over these two days reaffirms our vision to lead meaningful progress in sustainability through education and research. This conference has set a strong foundation for future collaborations that will shape a greener, more resilient world.”
Dr. Anuj Kumar Gupta, Director-Principal, CGC-COE, also shared valuable perspectives on strengthening interdisciplinary collaboration for sustainable growth. Certificates were awarded to authors and participants for their contributions, followed by a vote of thanks by Prof. (Dr.) Joginder Singh, Head, Department of Applied Sciences, CGC-COE. The event concluded on an optimistic note, celebrating the power of research-driven innovation and collaboration in building a sustainable future.
