Rohtak (Haryana), October 30, 2025: Haryana Director General of Police (DGP) O.P. Singh has issued a strong warning to gangsters hiding abroad, challenging them to return and face the law.
During a surprise inspection at the SP office in Rohtak on Wednesday, DGP Singh described such gangsters as “foxes, jackals, and snakes,” asserting that they live in fear and lack the courage to face the police.
Speaking to the media, he said, “Those who threaten from abroad are cowards. If you have truly ‘drunk your mother’s milk,’ then stay here and face us. You live overseas because you don’t have the guts to act here.”
Reiterating Haryana Police’s zero-tolerance stance toward crime, Singh said, “Our police force has 100 dedicated teams deployed across the country to track down criminals. I’ve instructed the force to arrest offenders who surrender peacefully, no matter how many cases they face — because violence cannot end violence. But if anyone dares to fire even a single bullet, the police are free to retaliate.”
Referring to a recent extradition case, Singh mentioned a criminal brought back from Switzerland, remarking, “You should have seen his condition — that’s what happens to those who run away.”
Emphasizing discipline and integrity within the police force, Singh said, “The police have no caste or community — our only identity is Khaki. Bullets don’t discriminate. Every officer must work with impartiality, sensitivity, and professionalism.”
The DGP also stressed the importance of personal grooming and fitness among police personnel, saying that officers should maintain clean uniforms, polished shoes, and proper turnout. “A protruding belly in uniform doesn’t look good,” he remarked candidly.
Addressing concerns about drugs and misinformation, Singh said the Haryana Police has intensified its crackdown on the drug trade, sending over 150 offenders to jail recently. Between 2019 and 2024, nearly 3,000 accused have been arrested for drug-related crimes.
He also warned those spreading misinformation and fear on social media, saying police teams are closely monitoring online activities. “Anyone spreading false information or creating panic will face strict action,” he stated.
DGP Singh concluded by emphasizing that false complaints will not be tolerated and that action will be taken against those misusing the system.
