Punjab Weather Update: Drop in temperature, rain expected on Nov 4
Babushahi Bureau
Chandigarh, November 2, 2025:Night temperatures across Punjab have dropped by 1.6 degrees Celsius, marking the onset of colder conditions. Meteorologists expect further decline in the coming days as a new Western Disturbance is likely to become active on November 4.
According to the Meteorological Centre, snowfall and rain are expected in the hilly regions once the Western Disturbance becomes active. This system may also impact parts of Punjab, especially districts adjoining Himachal Pradesh, bringing light to moderate rainfall.
On November 4, rain is likely in Pathankot, Gurdaspur, and Hoshiarpur, while on November 5, showers are expected in Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Amritsar, Hoshiarpur, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Nawanshahr, and Rupnagar.
Although the weather change may bring some relief from dust and dry air, pollution levels are not expected to drop significantly. Following the spell of rain and snowfall in Himachal, cold winds from the hills are expected to further intensify winter conditions across Punjab.
